Unlocking the Silence

Hey Guys! Here comes a new initiative by Joyeta Moietree, student of Apple Tree International School, to explore life and ourselves during this Quarantine!

“Unlocking the Silence” is an online magazine to finally break the ‘silence’ in everyone during this Quarantine and get some meaningful ideas to explore and get back our spirits!

Contents of Unlocking the Silence:

Literature:

2. Poem

3. Monologue/Dialogue

4. Letters

5. Travel Stories

6. Writings on Art

7. Writings on Music

8. Literary Criticisms on Movies/Books

9. Memories with School

10. Stories of Quarantine

11. Stories of Achievements

[N.B. Literature Works may be expressed in English or Bangla.]

Art and Design:

• Any type of artwork is accepted (paintings, sketch, cartoon art, anime art, doodle art, comics, etc.).

Visuals (Audio/Video):

1. Song Covers

2. Poem Recitation

3. Monologue Narration

[N.B. The entries may be in English or Bangla]

Others:

1. Self Help

2. Taboos

3. Social Issues

4. Psychology and Emotions

5. Mental Health

[N.B. This Segment may expressed in any form - wall magazines, art, or literature, others]

Rules and Eligibility:

• Any students studying in school and college (up to A Levels) may participate.

• One participant may submit as many entries as they want.

• Entries are accepted in both English or Bangla.

• You may send your entries here: unlockingthesilence@gmail.com

• Mention your full name, school name, grade and attach a photo of yours (optional) if you can.

• Kindly submit within 25th October, 2020.

If anyone is interested to work as a volunteer, please contact in the mail address. A volunteer may participate and also encourage others to participate, acting as a representative of Unlocking the Silence. Volunteers will get their individual credits in the magazine.
